Dr. Lie and his students have won several Best Graduate Student Paper Awards and Best Paper Awards in international conferences for 1994, 1995, 2006, 2008 (twice), 2010 (thrice), 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 (a total of 14 times):

 

 

1.       Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation Awards; 1st Place: "The Design of a Robust and Intelligent Phased Array Non-Contact Vital Signs (NCVS) Sensor System", Travis Jordan Hall, has been awarded with the only First place Master’s Thesis Winner for 2016 in the category of Math, Physical Sciences and Engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, June 3, (2016)

 

2.     Best Student Poster Paper Award Winner; 3rd Place: "A Study on Linearity vs. LTE 16QAM Signal Bandwidth and Supply Voltage for High-Efficiency SiGe Power Amplifier Design with CW Load-Pull", J.
