Director & Professor

Dr. Jerry Lopez received the B.S. and M.E. degrees at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He also received his Ph.D. degree at Texas Tech University, Lubbock in Aug. 2011 from Professor Donald Lie's group. Previously, he has worked for Northrop Grumman Corp. in research and development involving the design of highly efficient power amplifiers and polar modulators including custom RFICs design. He has also worked at the US Navy where he was a member of the RFIC design group. His research interests include the design of analog/RF integrated circuits such as highly-integrated highly efficient CMOS PA/transmitter and circuits and systems that are very nonlinear. Dr. Lopez was the recipient of a Northrop Grumman Fellowship and an NSF Educational Fellowship.

Dr. Lopez is currently the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of NoiseFigure Research Inc., Lubbock Texas. He is also a Sr. Research Associate of Texas Tech working with Prof. Lie on various research projects.
